100th post

We’re delighted to have reached our 100th addition to Newsam News. We know you’re finding it interesting and we’d love to have more of your comments on the blog.

Over the last nine months we’ve kept you up to date with the good news, such as the launch of DERA, funding for the NUWT archive and our new link resolver Find It!, we’ve tried to keep you informed of how to use our resources, and we’ve described some of our day to day work.

Sad news (for us) is that our colleague Claire Drinkwater is retiring at the end of the month after 34 years at the IOE. Claire will be greatly missed, especially by regular users of the Institute’s special collections – her knowledge of our collections and the history of education is immense. We know Claire has lots of plans for retirement and we are in the process of recruiting a Research Support and Special Collections Librarian to join the Collection Development Services Team.
