New digitised collections available from Kingston University Archives

Just a quick post to promote a new resource available from the Archives Team at Kingston University who have recently launced the ‘Kingston University Archives Digital Collections‘ online.  This new website has been created to showcase items from the University’s Archives and Special Collections, and to bring them to a worldwide audience. All the resources available on this site relate to the history of Kingston University and its predecessor bodies. With an initial focus on Gipsy Hill Teacher Training College the website may be of particular interest to the followers of Newsam News. Over the coming months staff will be adding new content relating to the history of the unviersity but also on other areas of research, including social history, women’s studies, the history of education and history of fashion.

For more information about the site, or the collections at Kingston University, email them at archives@kingston.ac.uk.

Not wanting to miss an opportnity to promote our own archives, we have a substantial resource of our own on Gipsy Hill Teacher Training College. A small amount is listed on the online catalogue but we have much more in the IOE’s own archive collection. For full details contact us at arch.enquiries@ioe.ac.uk.
